Location of Front Side Marker Light

my dealer says its "most likely" the lightbulb that needs to be replaced (even though it is an intermittent issue) Lightbulb costs $30. Labor to replace left headlight hosing $2,173.35... did they end up "recalling" your vehicle so the cost was covered?

I just took my 2017 Q7 in for the same sider marker issue. Dealer quoted over $4k to replace the fixture. I called the Audi customer advocate line and expressed my dissatisfaction with the poor engineering off this light assembly (was clear I was appreciative of my local service team) and informed them that if this is the type of engineering I can expect from Audi, this is my last Audi.
Dealer called me this morning and informed me that Audi is aware of the issues and they will "good will" replace the fixture on Audi and the Dealer (which I think shouldn't be the dealers burden) cost split 50/50.
Was informed that Audi is "looking into a repair solution".... been 5 years already, how long does it take to figure out how to drill a hole in some plastic? Anyway, my dealer is coming through and I am very appreciative of my local dealer looking out for me.
My recommendation, call the customer advocate line.

I had this issue pop up around a year ago and I was able to disable the side marker lights using OBDeleven. Took the car in for service yesterday and had a recall related to the 3G network disconnect and they must have done something to the car because the malfunction warning came up again. Now it threw a check engine light as well associated with the code u10ba. Not sure it was worth getting the new 5G network support put in the car if this is going to happen.

Thanks for the code instructions! Worked like a charm on the OBDeleven Pro. I also have a Left rear side marker fault B12BC13 on my 2017 Q7. Can't find the rear light controls in Central Electric. Any chance you know?

Perhaps this will help you to disable the side light completely:

I got the same error message, except front right marker. Can't see any difference between right and left sides. Audi dealer has offered to replace the front right headlamp assembly for $4,294 ($3,461 for parts). Apparently it requires removing the front bumper and recalibrating the camera and sensors mounted in the bumper.
Although this may be a sign of imminent failure, I can't see preemptively spending that much on something like this that seems to be functioning perfectly. And, I'll be getting another bid.
Has anyone had experience with non-Audi-dealer repairs?

I declined. I imagine the warning can be turned off (which they refused to do) for the right amount of money.

UPDATE:
Called Audi corporate today. I have a 2017 Q7. There was a recall completed on this issue early 2017. However, it is obvious that the part was still defective-no way this should be an issue after 6 years. Send Audi a repair estimate Monday, and we'll see what corporate does. My issue is they will claim to have fixed it, but the fix clearly was still defective.
