Default Nice snowy Sunday drive here as well... love it

Installed my winter LM-22s just in time yesterday. Had to head down to Denver, and I thought all of the folks that can't drive might stay home, but unfortunately they were all out last night. Isn't yesterday's weather a reason why they enacted the "passing lane law". Apparantly not since it was still clogged with ricers driving 10mph.

Had to wait until today to get in a fun snow drive. Took a canyon road up into the mountains outside Boulder.

Came across a co-ed whose car was stuck in the middle of the road on a steep icy section. Felt bad for her because everyone was just driving by her, even with her emergency lights on. Must have been her Cali plates, no sympathy I guess... just took me a minute to get her calmed down and turned around to head back down the hill. Hopefully that earned me +karma for this winter.

Gotta say I'm also liking the Nokian WRs we installed on my wife's FWD Volvo.

Left the Audi at home today, took the Dakota (it's AWD also) out. Figured that a few more inches of height, a little more sheet metal my be better suited for dealing with the idiots today. Earned my good Karma award for the year, twice, pushed a fullsize 2wd 1/2 ton Chevy out of parking lot entrance, then used the winch to free a new, as in 3 day old temp tags, AWD Acura from it's temporary winter resting place, snow bank.

Default Not sure... new baby in a couple of weeks

I would definitely like to do Steamboat again, and highly recommend it. First baby and no grandparents in town to babysit, so I'm not sure I'll be able to make it this season.

Do you know if there are still spots open? The local club is also doing a weekend on Georgetown Lake for another ice driving school. I plan to do that since I can drive up both days.
