Default all ringer volumes are adjustable. this is sporadic. country clubs? dammit. mebbe i should move.

it's not just a loud ring, it's a horrible squawk, often followed by a loud ring, that adjusts itself down after a ring or two. it has nothing to do with any setting that i am changing.

i hope this is the last time i have to type out the exact same description of what is happening.

Default yeah, the iphone is listed as compatible, and all the other features work great. it just scares...

...the **** out of me and my passengers.

Default Have you tried turning the volume down via the volume adjustment on the steering wheel?

You have to catch it as the phone syncs.

Default yes. i often try to anticipate it. but as i keep saying, it is random and sporadic. so if i crank..

...the volume down in anticipation of this random event, and it doesn't do the squawk and loud initial rings, i don't hear it when it actually rings normally. then i end up gradually turning it back up and hoping i didn't miss the beginning of a call in the meantime.

bottom line is: this is NOT normal or even usable behavior and there is no consistent way for me to change the way i use the phone that will make it acceptable to me, until an apple or audi update makes the synching work without this sonic freakout. or unless someone else has figured out some setting or pref change that fixes the odd synch-up glitch.

all other aspects of the iPhone bluetooth integration with Audi MMI work great. it's just this one incredibly obnoxious part of it that is bad enough to make me considering leaving BT off.

Default I have the same problem with my phone...

and it is only since I have a new phone. My old blackberry never did it. Also it happens randomly and at the end (hang up) of a call.
