Am I correct that we can still get a XM module for the 2008 RS4?

Default I would think there have to be some still available for those who have it and could have issues...

in the future.

If the merger goes through it won't really matter which one you have though.

Default I have XM now

and it is cheaper to add devices than to buy new. Also Sirius does not carry Bob Brinker anymore.

Default you're missing the point....Sirius subscribers will have access to XM programming, and vice versa...

...when they merge.

Default Not true, advertising says that, but the merger documentation says you will need a new radio

The fine print says you will be able to access SOME of XM's programming on Sirius and SOME of Sirius' programming on XM. They both are ridiculously tight on bandwidth at the moment so there is no way either can take on the other's full lineup.

To do the new ala carte picking of channels or have access to every channel, you will need a new radio.

View the table at the bottom of this link to understand what packages will require a new radio (marked with *). You'll notice as an example XM Everything has 170 channels...XM Everything + Select Sirius has 180 channels. What those 10 channels will be is going to be interesting.

http://www.siriusmerger.com/uploads/FINAL_New_Package_Release_7-23-07.pdf</a
