Averaged 26.2mpg from Las Vegas to Los Angeles.

not from my experience...
leaving it in gear always yields low 20's. By coasting in neutral for 35 miles (not the whole time obviously) I managed to get my mpgs up to 30.

a Maine DA in the passengers seat. The car rode like a charm...just had to keep an eye out for moose on the highway...rode perfectly......

Coming back from Vegas is all downhill. What was your mileage going there. That's the real test!
I use about 1/3 of a tank less coming home from vegas than I do doing there. Granted this is in a Nissan Maxima but you get the point.

Northern Maine is phenomenal for high speed driving......
It is DESOLATE up there. Flat as a pancake. You can see for miles, and the light is such that it isn't washed-out bright like the deserts in the west. Did 100+ for a few hours continuously from Augusta to the Canadian Border a number of years ago.
