DRC Suspension Repair

DRC Suspension Repair
I bought a used RS4 last month. Should have checked it out better, but it was a beautiful single owner car with clean carfax and lots of factory warranty remaining. Didn't take long to notice suspension noises and handling sloppiness. After some online research, I was scared to find that Audi was not honoring repair costs on DRC and shock failure.
My dealer diagnosed two bad front shocks along with leaky valves. I then asked to hear the bad news, and he replied that I couldn't get the car until next week. I asked about cost, and was informed that it would be taken care of under warranty, including labor and $3900 in parts. What a relief!
The dealer is one of the large Audi dealers in the SF Bay area. I'm wondering if this is unusual or have other Audi dealers started to accept responsibility for fixing this problem.
