Spoke with Terry Dyson today, and am going to change to Bio Syn 5w 40 at 1500 miles. Have you or anyone else done so. Also going to use FP3000 additive to help top end.

Thursday
I'll be changing my current oil out to Bio Syn on Thursday at my 15K mile service, and will be having it analyzed at 500 and 1500 miles. Terry swears by the stuff ... and you can put it on your salad too! j/k
Several of his customers are switching over to this oil at about the same time. Assuming it holds up (and I have no doubt that it will, since Terry has a sister oil in his 302 hot rod) I'll be running it Watkins Glen at the end of April.
Bpesch and I have agreed to try and sample at the same mileages, for good comparison between engines. I'm in New England, he's in Colorado, and with you down in Texas, we'll get a good sampling of operating temperatures over the next few months. I'm planning to take samples at 500, 1500 and 3000 miles. 500 just gives us a baseline on how the additive package is working, so you could forgo that. But if the 3 of us sample at 1500 and 3000 miles, we'll know how this oil performs compared to all the others.
It will also be nice to see how your engine fares, since you've got so few miles on her. Brian and I are both up to 15K. Since you're becoming part of the oil analysis club, I'll send you the current spreadsheet. YGM
