Default My new idea ...

Well, I am a liawyer for a living and have no electrical engineering skills whatsoever so be nice before you tear me a new one, but here is my new plan -
I am going to somehow retrofit the Bluetooth steering wheel button from my NA wheel to where the sport button is right now when I get the Euro wheel. I am not talking about the actual plastic button piece, but the wiring behind it is what i want to remove, install somewhere where there is space, and rewire it up to a empty button on the dash, like the now useless S button.
I have no problem hacking up my old steering wheel to see if I can get it done. Oh ya, I also plan on talking to my engineer cousin and maybe a audio shop for some ideas.
Any thoughts

Default How about this.... Just install a secondary bluetooth kit... no "hacking" required

Default You can't just move the wiring (more)

the Euro wheel takes over the same wiring.

What you have to do is get a black box called a CANgate and connect the dash S button to that - which will then become the PTT (talk/phone) button.

This is what I've had to do on my RS4 (UK delivered with Euro wheel).

Search for CANgate and bjarne on www.navplus.us
