How to have someone miles even perhaps hundreds of miles away unlock your car using a cell phone.

Assume you locked your keys in your car (you need to be an idiot to do this in an Audi) and you have a spare FOB at home. Call your wife (or girl friend) and tell her to use her cell phone to call you and to aim your spare FOB key at the cell. You on the other end just have to hold your cell phone close to your car and voila, the car unlocks.

Hard to believe, well I tried it with my friend tonight however it was done on his Chrysler minivan and it works! We did not try it on the Audi.

I tried with my friend on his audi a3 and it did not work

Again at a further date. Maybe tonight's results on his car were a fluke. It's late 11:40 pm and it's cold and damp in Montreal tonight so the experimenting can wait.
