I think that is fully loaded, please check the manual. I run 39/37 f/r on my OEM size tires

Default Dropped to 35 psi for track run on cold day

Had been set at 38 per specs by tire place the week before when installed.

That's what I run as well (stock tire size). If you run them only a few pounds low, you risk bubbling a sidewall and that can get very expensive. Or worse - a bent rim.

Just to clarify...if you're running OEM rims with the PSS (OEM size), is 42/42 ok (what's "full load")? Is 39/37 ok/better (under what conditions)?

Fully loaded is at the vehicles maximum capacity - 4 adults plus luggage. If you only tool around by yourself or with your lady, running maximum tire pressure will give a needlessly harsh ride and might cause uneven tire wear as well. You'd get optimum fuel mileage though!
