radio powers off when engine is turned off?

My 2008 TT did not power off the radio until the key was pulled out of the ignition. And if powered on via a 3 s push of the volume, it played for 30 mins, handy for car washing. But my RS4 does the power off with ignition off and only comes back on when you do the 3 s press. I too find that annoying. There must be a setting for this.
There are other differences. My TT would not disengage the cruise control unless the clutch was depressed for about 10-15 seconds. My B7 A4 and my RS4 both require just a tap on the clutch to turn of cruise. I prefer the tap to using the brake. Oh well.

I used to own a 04 TT Quattro manual but can't even recall if I ever used the cruise control. How about cancelling the cruise using the steering column cruise control stalk? I find that simple with a flick away from the steering wheel. Or tap the brake? Hope that helps...
