RS4 Exhaust Thread
Hey everyone. I'm starting this thread in hopes that fellow RS4 owners can give advice and feedback of their exhaust systems on their RS4's. I am looking to purchase one soon myself and would like to hear people's recommendations on which exhaust to purchase. Thanks for anyone's input.

I'll bite. I have a magnaflow catback on my RS4. Great build quality, great sound, and great price (I paid less than $800 to purchase AND get it professionally installed). The only drawback is a slight drone at low RPM. The good thing is that our cars are geared so that I'm not in the drone range often or for very long when I am. It also has quad tips which some like and others don't. I painted mine black which looks pretty good IMO.
Hope that helps.

Both setups sound awesome. I'm jealous!
Elevens, any cons with your setup you're experiencing?
RS4Brian, $800 for the exhaust and installation sounds like you got a good deal.
Thanks guys!

I am in the same boat with my '07 RS4, below are the exhausts that I have been contemplating:
Capristo exhaust
Supersprint exhaust
MTM exhaust
GMG Racing exhaust
Tubi exhaust
AWE exhaust
Unfortunately, these have been heard on Youtube only and not in person.
I am leaning towards the Capristo exhaust, I like the fact that the valves are kept and that the tips are very different that any of the other, the only drawback is the price

After almost two years of running this system I don't see any cons at all to replacing the resonator with the H-pipe. It sounds plenty good, doesn't drone at all, it's 10 pounds lighter, retains the factory valved exhaust tips and possibly even adds a few horsepower. Pretty good bang for not too many bucks.

Least expensive of the valved exhausts.

I have the Magnaflow as well and really like the sound. Go to planetmagnaflow.com and you can make them an "offer". I offered them $775 and they took it and free shipping is included on anything on their site. The only thing is that I like the look of the original tips better.
