Any discounts in the NW
I've been looking to lease the '06 S4 and the local dealer in Portland, OR won't budge 1 penny with a total of 9 S4s in stock. I'm wondering if this is the case around the country as well. I'm willing to have a car shipped to me if this'll bring down the cost. I know the production is less than the '05 but this is the first time I've had a dealer completely not move at all. They're asking about $900/mo for no down 10K/yr for 36 months.

I ordered mine through Sunset also. Who is the salesman you're dealing with?
the first 2 I talked to seemed uninterested in selling me a car, let alone trying to make me happy. I ended up with John Frentsos, and got a workable deal. This was before any B7's were on the lot tho. shoot me an email if you want any more details, mine was a purchase and not a lease.

Re: Any discounts in the NW
I purchased mine for $1500 above invoice (Getting it this weekend, can't wait!). Got that price from the dealer down here in Mobile, but didn't want to pay the money for a 3 way trade with other dealers to get the one I wanted. I went straight to the dealer in NJ who had the car I wanted and he agreed to give me the same price although he kept telling me what a great deal I was getting. I am having it shipped down here this week.

don't negotiate a payment!
Negotiate the price of the car, and if AFS rates don't thrill you (they never do), seek financing yourself through leasecompare.com. If you can produce a better MF, residual, etc. through a different lender, AFS might be willing to sweeten their deal to get your business....they did for me.
Citing a 900/mo payment doesn't tell us anything about the price of the car....and depending on options, there's about $10K between a 6spd S4 with no options and a fully loaded tiptronic.

I'm using Rich Prov. I don't think it's necessarily the salesman as opposed to the sales manager that they always go away to talk with while you're waiting there. Somewhat disappointing but not much you can do except look elsewhere.
