It happens intermittently. No starter crank, electronics turn on but nothing is thrown. I have to sit and wait 5 minutes and then it will crank.


Electronic gremlins or is there some fix for this?

Not sure if this would help but, on my other vehicle (03 Land Rover Discovery) there is a mode that when the alarm button on remote gets activated when the doors are open it won't start for 5 minutes unless you close doors and lock car with remote then just unlock. It resets this mode, I guess it's some sort of engine disable there in case someone is trying to steal car. It happened accidently a few times before I figured out what it was. Guess I should have read that part of the manual. Not sure if the S4 has this feature.

Tip. Its happened 3 times with nothing in common with the other times its happened. Morning, night hot cold, etc.

i would take it to the dealer, especially if the car isn't even throwing any errors
