My dealer claimed to be able to lower my interest rate on my Premier Purchase if I went with 2 audi aftermarket products. The choices were gap insurance, paint sealant, and tire/wheel protection. So I'm told if I get 2 for a total of 600 they could drop my rate from 3.5 to 3. This made my payment a complete wash so at 1st I did not give it much thought.

BUT

Are they just holding out on me on rate in order to get me to agree. By doing this it will show a 600 dealer profit. So in short I should probably be getting the lower rate without these add-ons.

I'm probably going to call them out on it when I go in to sign tommorrow morning. Does anyone know if I could call Audi directly and ask them about this?

But yes, they trying to get you to buy stuff you don't need. So if they can get you 3% with the crap, they can get you 3% without the addt'l crap as well.

The gap insurance is worth it on the PP. DO NOT DO A PP WITHOUT GAP INSURANCE.If the car is totalled you could be out significant money. The 2 protection items are additional dealer profit for nothing.

Sorry, yes the financing is through Audi.

As for gap insurance, I carry that with my Allstate insurance.
