DRL
Before I got the 5k oil change, drl stays on for a while when I lock or unlock the car. Now they don't come on during the day when I lock/unlock the car during daylight, haven't paid attention at night. I checked the exterior settings under car setup and they look like they were before the oil change. Not sure where else I need to check for this setting.

Lights are set to auto, never had to touch the button to drive at night. I'll see if setting it to some other setting then back to auto helps.

Have you checked under the car setup to ensure DRLs are enabled? If so, are ANY lights on? With the vagcom cable you can set various lights to be DRLs. Try looking with the light switch off (not on auto, at least to test things out). If you can, find someone with a cable in your area to take a look. Or as another suggested, have the dealer take care of it if not far out of the way.

Finally got a chance to take it in and the dealership couldn't find anything. He said it's working as expected and the coming home/going away feature doesn't apply during daytime. Mentioned that those features worked fine during daylight before the oil change but he insisted that it shouldn't be. Mind you this is the service manager. Guess I have to get the Vagcom.
