This is my first Audi, I sure hope these things are more durable than just 100k miles. My '99 M3 is still running at over 130k (with track duty).

Update - so I was supposed to get my car back on Tuesday after 3 weeks. They said some trans clip broke when installing the new transmission and had to wait another day for the part.

Next day, they say a light came on during a test drive of my car after the transmission was installed, for the sports differential.

My rep said they called Audi corporate about it and they need to send someone to the dealership to figure out the code or something - and it'll be probably sometime next week!! UGH!!

The rep said that this is a newer, updated transmission (exact one for my 2010 no longer made), which is part of the issue.

Obviously I want them to get this right - but goodness, this will be over a month!!! Sucks!

it is a sports sedan, not a sports car.

My S4 is back! Finally!

Got it back last night (they replaced some sensor related to the sports diff and that fixed the last issue).

Had a slow drive home in the rain from the dealer in rush hour traffic, but just in that short time I could feel a MAJOR difference in the transmission. No studder at all in low stop and go speeds at all. Feels like a different car. Never realized how bad it was as it was like that from the start when I got the car in January.

I'll give it a more proper shakedown this weekend, but hopefully no more issues and I can just go on enjoying it again!!

Obviously new transmission is better than the bad transmission. Are you also saying the updated (2010 no longer available) is much better than properly working 2010?

It's been many months since I test drove some 2010's. I don't remember how they drove, but this is extremely smooth now...
