Winter Tire Setup (Good Deal at Tirerack)

An hour south of Boston would be Rhode Island (or CT in an S5).
Concur; our roads are cleared pretty quickly of snow, but I still like dedicated snow tires heading north for skiing, etc.
Change tires before every storm? That's ludicrous. Snow tires are as much about softer compound for maintaining grip in freezing temps (even on dry roads) as they are about more aggressive tread.

hour south of Boston but that is basically what i am saying we did get alot of snow but within hours it is cleared.
I am deff going to be getting tires for winter I wont mess around with that just wondering how they are just driving around.
A co worker of mine had a VW and changes the wheels everytime we get snow which is a pain in the *** imo. He says the compound is so soft that dry roads eats the snow tires up

Anybody know if these will fit on these closeout rims:
http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...ip&showRear=no
$125 for the tire plus $129 for the wheel = winter setup for ~ $1,000
