Default Brake/ABS Light Issues--Chipped

I've already SFTA and haven't been able to find much real help on this issue. I put the GIAC X chip in my 2000 S4 and now this keeps happening. I get three loud beeps and my ABS light stays on while the brake light starts flashing. I've taken it to the dealer who couldn't find anything wrong with it so I took it into the chip dealer and they ran a VAG on it. The rough/road code keeps popping up like others have said but I don't think it's an ABS sensor problem. The chip dealer reinstalled my stock chip to see if there was something screwy with the GIAC chip. They cleared the codes and sure enough, the same problem occured. I decided it MUST be something with the car and left the stock chip in and started my 20 mile drive back to the dealership when about half way there, the light went off and hasn't come back on since. Which, makes me think it's got to be the chip. However, if they cleared the VAG codes after they reinstalled the stock chip, how could I get the same error codes only to have them disappear 10 miles later. Did I get a faulty chip or is this just something that happens with the GIAC chip in 2000 tiptronics?

Thanks for your help guys!

Default Probably coincidental. I would bet your ABS controller is on the way out. Similar thing happened to

me. I haven't replaced mine yet. Good luck, I believe the price for the parts is around a grand.

It's not the chip. It's your car (abs controller as stated below).

I didn't get any EPC light coming on. The code, if I remember correctly is 18014.

What's weird though is now that I took out the chip and put the stock back in the problem has disappeared. If it were the sensors, wouldn't it continue to pick up a problem with either chip in?
