Default Called Carrera Motors in Bend today, they said new bypass valves DID NOT fix the problem, Help....

They said the howling noise is still there and they're going to run some tests on the turbos today to see if I need new ones...the outlook is not looking good for my car guys....this sucks. Very frustrating too. This is one reason I think having a high performance car really can suck. Why do I always get all the bad luck? With 4,000 miles too....I think as a result of this I'm going to have to cancel the august 8th proformance driving school at SIR that I was really ****ing looking forward too. This really sucks. I've been trying to get them to check all the IC hoses and stuff too...anyone else have any insight on this? I'll tell you this much, my car did not sound good in the least when I was driving around after the whole power loss fiasco...

Default I think the bypass valves might have been the culprit...

but the resulting damage to the turbos can't be turned around with new valves.

Then again, I smoke a lot of crack.

Default Yeah my car is basically a 40k paperweight at the moment. I think you're right, damage could have..

Damage could have been caused by the faulty valves.....meaning my chip actually did cause this whole problem by messing up the valves and therefore causing damge to the turbos (if thats the case), where are you APR? reading this? ****....

Default Sorry to hear your wheels are not back...

Ben,

Let me know if you need an S4 fix. We could get together sometime. Has Carrera mentioned anything about your chip? I hope that all this work is under warranty. It should be, from what I have been reading about the bypass valves this is an Audi design flaw that is just exacerbated by the chip's added pressure.

Best of luck man.

Dave

Default Did they do a smoke test?

A smoke test should help them identify if/where there are any leaks in the intercoolers or intake plumbing.
