Can anyone tell me if the engine speed sendor (g28) is near the Oil Filter?

Can anyone tell me if the engine speed sendor (g28) is near the Oil Filter?
I'm wondering if its similar to the Audi a4 b6 in the following link...thanks in advance.

also...
Also - While i was messing around in there...one of the wires from the harness to the left of the G28 sensor harness broke...it was pretty fragile from all the heat. Can anyone tell me what thats for? Picture below of the harness...only had one wire:

The G28 sensor is mounted to the transmission on the upper left hand side or driver`s side and I am not sure on your second question.
