Changed out both primary O2 sensors today.
It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The drivers side took me about an hour and the passengers side was 30 min. The hardest part about getting to the drivers side was trying to get my 1/2" drive extension in there at the right angle so I could get to the sensor. I had to snake it through some rubber hoses down there.
For those of you who suggested removing the Y-pipe, I don't think I could have done it without removing it. I didn't remove it completely but I removed the accordian hose and then loosened the hose clamps on the front end of the Y-pipe so I could tip it up towards the front of the car. It gave me just enough room to work without having to completely remove the Y-pipe.
One thing I'll say about the Vast O2 sensors is the harness gets somewhat large as you get closer to the sensor. This means that you can't just slide the socket on near the sensor. You actually have to slide on the harness near connector and then slide it all the way down to the sensor. Not a big deal but just something to remember. I just wish I had smaller hands because my hands are all cut up from the heat shield.
