Default Dash says Oil Min---- book says to check level.

If i drive it like that, will the check engine light come on if the level is critical? What should i do? Not drive it? Car has mobil 1 10w30, warning light came on 100 miles ago. ( i was driving up to school)

Most gas stations carry Mobil 1 or some synthetic oil... or try 24hr place like Savon

Default might want to check your dipstick

i think the manual has all that jazz if you havent done it before... then get a funnel and drop some oil in there till it reaches acceptable levels

one month it gave me the oil, coolant, AND washer fluid warnings all in a row... thats what i get for laggin on my service i guess

Default Better to mix oil weights than to have no oil...

Not recommended of course. No late night places you can pick up some oil?

Always good to have an extra quart of oil in your car but hindsight is always 20/20.

Default I had the light come on last week several times but the oil level was fine.

The light would come on and then when you check the level, there is plenty of oil. Checking the oil makes the light go out and then about 50 miles later, it would come back on.

It seems to be a common thing on the allroad. I spoke to the dealer and they said it is probably a faulty sensor. My car is in for the 10k service tomorrow so they are going to look at it. Here is a link to the thread on the allroad forum

Oil "MIN" warning light thread

Default when oil light comes on..

it doesn't have to be low oil. you can be burning more than average oil, or it not like the damn oil at all.
