Default Definitive Intercooler mister part numbers from Accuspray

I just got off the phone with the guy at Accuspray (1-888-492-6648).

They've assembled all of the parts (except the electronic controller)in Don P's tech article on the intercooler misters (see the Audiworld tech articles off the main Audiworld page) and put them into a kit. You've never know it from their web site....but they're very helpful on the phone.

The order number for the kit (which contains both nozzles, strainers, check valves, hose, and clamps) is "ICK" (for InterCooler Kit).
Price is 27.05 with 8.00 for US mail priority shipping...total of 35.05. With the controller at about 120 US plus about 25 bucks shipping (from Australia) that makes the whole mister setup about 160 bucks....a bargain mod if you live in Texas or some other variation of summertime hell :-)

Default The McMaster part list I saw ended up at 41.87....I'd call the amounts just about even.

I prefer the low mass, low weight approach. Car's heavy enough. :-)

Default but that parts list is for better parts

all the fittings are compression fittings with tubing to withstand 190 F temps. If you do it for MUCH cheaper if you went to barbed fittings, but are they are reliable for 100 PSI?

Default Great idea....you might also add a pointer to the specific page for ordering the controller too.

It takes a while to find...what with diving through the article you point to. With my lazy self, I read it once and say "cool", wait a year till I've forgotten how much work it will be install, and then order the parts so I'll be forced to install it. Having the parts easy to find in the article keeps me from remembering all that work before I've committed myself by ordering :-)

Anyhow....if I have not said it before. The article is great and the availability of info like this is a good part of the reason why I love my Audi.
