a few pics from the LRQC spring drive

silver S4 was darren - we were driving up together.
I DO remember you - we also passed a silver A4 on Rte 50 in Wisconsin, so I think I'm confusing your passenger with his. Anyway, it was good to almost say hi to a fellow audi-phile out there on the road. I will be sure to wave and holler and generally make a fool of myself the next time we meet.

ok, I confess, I like to go fishing for rice-boys in Chinatown sometimes
so you might just see (or hear) me or Matt.
We went with the intrax/koni set-up - boston audi group arranged a group buy, so I figured it was a sign.

Cool beaners to everyone who showed up.
Pretty good turnout. I think more would've showed up had they not thought it was gonna rain.
Anyhow, results from the drive are at the LRqC website (see below.) Almost everyone finished, except for a few individuals who either had to bail early, got the hankering for brewskies, or had mechanical failure (in the case of the sole Ferrari, which became sick somewhere along the way.)
We haven't got pictures up yet, but we have a bunch to post. If you have some, let me know.
Kudos, of course, to Rob Fox (that's his RS4 sedan conversion in the pictures) and the rest of MotoPersona for being prime sponsor of the event.

That's too bad
Hope you had fun anyway. A few people didn't have navigators. Since the data's on the LRqC website, you could be a geek and do some math regarding those who had navigators vs. those who didn't, but I think that's going a bit far.
I know the route description says 99mi, which is wrong (it's actually 100.3) but the scoring computer had a more accurate route length (we averaged several cars, including some GPS units.)

I am not going to the autox ...
I have decided that I need to hold off on all that kind of competition until I can afford to really play... I KNOW I will start it, love it, and all my money will go into the car and track time and before I know it I will be even more in debt than I already am! So I need to pay off all the debt from college (or atleast dent it) before I start new debt up...
I would imagine the picnic will be low key compared to the autox, but I understand the audi'd out thing... I will hold on to the pen with all my life...
