Fuzion ZRi to Yokohama ES100 questions (x-post)
I am having bald ZRi's removed from the avant today and replaced with ES100's. I'm curious as to what I should expect. I've heard complaints about noise for the ES100's, but I've heard the ZRi's are noisy, as well. Should I expect more noise from the ES100's? I would say the ZRi's are a little noisy at this point, as they approach racing slick territory. I'm also curious as to how they should stack up on grip and wear?
thanks,
Andrew

I second that statement. I had the ES100 and although I thought it
was a good tire wet and dry it was louder than I expected it to become. I have the Falken 451's on my 911 and Audi now and have been very happy with them.

I already have them. I'm not asking for recommendations.
I've seen some very polarized opinions on these tires, but the deal was too good to pass up. Just wanted to see if anyone has had both these tires and could offer a comparison, since they are rated similarly on tirerack.

I had ES100s and loved them the first 5k miles....
they are hard and perform VERY well for the price, or really any price, but damn they were loud after a while, so much so that I didn't wait till they were bald to get something new. They were also so loud that I went with an intermediate all season after those, just to get some quieter tires for a while. I wouldn't ever buy them again for the S.
On my 18" CHs, the 235 width would rub on certain turns, FYI.

thanks for the info.
These are for the stockers (225/45-17), so rubbing shouldn't be a problem. Looking at the specs, I did notice they are close to an inch wider than the ZRi's in the same size.
