probably wouldn't work with the 2000 ecu but will the car be driveable?

Change the ECU coding and find out.. I vote YES

Default Unless you have a DAMN good reason, don't try this...

at least call some tuners and get their input first.

Will not work. Besides the coding issue, the MAF circuitry is different.
