Default Help fixing fuel hose leak

After smelling fuel while sitting in traffic today, I removed the pass. side engine covers to discover a wet area below what appears to be the flexible rubber fuel line to the pass. side fuel rail (see pic below). It is the line that has the metal coupling at the fuel rail which is out of sight below the middle hose.

To replace this line (the one with the fitting) will any steps need to be taken to relieve pressure in the fuel system? Is it as simple as it looks? There is a clamp on the other end where the fuel line from under the car terminates on the firewall.

Thanks in advance,
Matt

Default There's 2 fuel lines there, supply and return

The one with the hex nut is the supply line, the one underneath is the return. If the supply line is leaking, just make sure that nut is tight.

As for relieving the fuel pressure, just undo the gas cap and leave it for a minute.

Default I had that same issue . Only happened when it was REALLY cold in my situation <more&g

I'm not sure about the repair since I took my car to a shop for the fix but I have the part number at home. Email me if you need the info. It wasn't very expensive. I remember someone else on this board had the same issue and their shop tried to tell them they'd need all new fuel lines. Not the case!

extremly easy fix. wrap a rag around the pressure fitting when you undo it, not really that much fue
