Default First of all sunny

They ARE NOT blow OFF, they are BY PASS....

You understand the difference between the two??

In case you do, Audi's BPV (Bosch BPV) fail a lot because of their cheap construction and the heat they are exposed to.

Somebody wanted to cut corners and they got a bunch of fried turbos in return......genius!

Default I think he is asking the reason...

why blow off valves don't work for Audis. Not the design and reliability of stock bypass valves.

His question is answered by doing a search.

Default In that case...

Blow off valves won't work cause the 2.7tt engine was designed to work with BPVs.

Put blow off valves and the 'expected' pressure is released to the atmosphere instead of the intake and the fuel/air mix gets all confused and everything else goes down the pipe....

In other words, don't do it.

Default That's not necessarily true

Basically most convention blow off valves use a push type mechanism to bleed pressure. When pressure is bled, the map sensor gets confused because there's a large loss of air from the system. However, the pull type BOV is supposed to work with the S4. I'm not too familiar with how this setup works, but I believe it works by only bleeding off a smaller percentage of the air thus leading to only a slight "rich run" condition that won't set off a check engine light, cause ****ty idles, or stall at idle. I've heard other BOVs work with the A'pexi SAFC by correcting richness. I actually have a SAFC on order along with Greddy BOVs, where I gonna test this.. I'll keep you guys posted...

Default I'm testing some now..

That are both BOV's and BPV's at the same time. Pretty interesting.

Unfortunately, I have to wait for the second BOV since the guys at Go Fast Bits forgot to send me 2.

This seems promising and I tried a single bov just to see how it works.... not bad so far... works good. Will be doing readings when the second one comes in.

Go Fast Bits Hybrid Valve

Default ummmm HKS and Greddy?? POS?? huh??

the best engineering go into these parts and they are made to stand loads of boost.

How do you figure?? POS??

TT Supras with 600hp??
RX7s
WRX
Skyline??

I don't get your reasoning behind how our **** is not a plastic POS ... and cars that have BOV's are?? I would take a Skyline over an S4... if I had the chance.. I'm sure you would too.

Hell.. I wouldn't mind a Supra TT ... too...

Not trying to start a fight.. I'm just a little rattled by your statement that BOV's mean that your car is a POS.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Default cool it you nutswinger

I was talking about all those T3 civics with their noisemaker BOV's and HKS and GREDDY STICKERS.

Those kinds of mods are out of place on our cars. These are supposed to be sport sedans with class, not cheap, poorly engineered rice rockets.
