Importing RS4 from Europe?

Importing RS4 from Europe?
I'm sure many have thought about doing it. is it still that difficult to get one imported? It doesn't make sense to me to convert an s4 to rs4 since it is much more expensive than buying an rs4 with relatively low miles in Germany.
What would the cost be these days, possibly importing into a state with less restricitive regulations?
I know the military has an easier way to imnport cars...maybe make a deal with someone to import the car?
Just some thoughts...I am saving $$$ to upgrade the ride but wondering if its worth the hassle to get an RS4 instead.

I know someone who imported three of them...talk about horror stories...
He still has two of them...one was stuck in customs for about 1.5 years I believe..yes, this was right after 9-11, so I am sure that had something to do with it.

Why import when you can buy a perfect stage III+ for less? I might sell mine.
2001.5 avant, 25K miles, perfect sports interior, APR stage III+, stasis motorsports, every option and upgrade you can imagine.
