Default more boost with new MAF

My video from Jan. 16 linked below shows boost going to 20psi, then steadily tapering to 16psi by redline.

I replaced the MAF a couple of days ago and now it shoots to around 22-23psi, runs 20 steady, then tapers slightly and holds around 18 to redline. I thought the spike to 22 would go away but it hasn't.

I didn't touch anything else when replacing the MAF, so the old one must've been going bad. Either the oil from the K&N ruined it or they only last a year running stage 3 airflow I had no fault codes.

I think I'll go back to the stock paper filter for awhile. I tried to run an older gentlemen in a C6 vette on the way home a few minutes ago. You know, just to see how it's running with the new MAF. He was driving 50mph on an empty highway (perfect for 3rd gear run) but did not want to do a quick comparison. Oh well

video of boost gauge before replacing MAF

Default Probably has a T fitting w/o the signal insert. Dave, that's about what we're seeing on

initial swing and settling here, holding 20-21psi to about 6600 or so. How's the FATS now? Betting its better...

Default Drive around like that for a day or so...

might be the ecu adjusting. I've had a similar experience after clearing codes that seemed to resolve itself.
