Default These should be an insert in the front bumper that you can unclip and slide downward.

Underneath is the license plate mounting holes.

Default Another option is to just make a sticker out of your license plate...

I live in WA and I got pulled over for not having a front plate, so I had Kinko's make me a clear sticker out of my plate about the size and shape of what a euro plate would look like. As far as I know, it's completely legal (I haven't been pulled over for it) and it looks a lot better than mounting a real one.

Default It's not legal. Others have tried it and gotten ticketed, IIRC. I have a better solution:

Get this (just the top bracket):

Do this:

And stick it on with moulding tape. Works for me.

Default Re: mounting front license plate - stupid question...

I have the opposite problem. I have a mount on my S4 in a jurisdiction that does not require front license plates. I could exchange my license plate mount and drilled centre piece for the bumper with your virgin centre piece. What do you think? My car is silver by the way. Or, you could simply buy my mount.

Default Well, I'll just pretend that I didn't know if I ever get pulled over. I bet most cops don't know..

the exact rule or care enough to pull me over for having all the same info in sticker form instead of on a license plate.

Default You need the moutning bracket. I bought my S4 in NJ and live in PA. You can have my..

bracket seeing PA doesn't require front plates. Deal is you have to drive to Philly to get it. I was just about to drop it in the trash yesterday too. Let me know if you want it. Get ready to drill holes in the bumper if not.
