Default mpg readout

I notice that with throttle closed the instantaneous mpg readout becomes dashes. Does this mean that no fuel whatsoever is flowing?? At what rpm would fuel flow be restored?

It means that you are getting more than 99.9 mpg - more than the display can handle

Default Not necessarily more than 99.9 mpg. I've had it display 198.0 mpg.

Default I just think it doesn't calculate it when there is vacuum or engine braking or whatever -- (more)

it goes up to 200.0 when you are going like 70-80 (or more) in neutral (or with the clutch in)

Got my "miles to go" reading up to about 600 - with about half a tank - coasting down the backside of the grapevine ;-)

Default No fuel

In all cars with electronically controlled fuel injection there should be no fuel flow at all when the throttle is closed and the engine speed is above certain rpm. I don't know what is the actual rpm value for S4, but it certainly too low to be useful while driving. The fuel restoration feature is only necessary to enable normal idling.

Default to Taner

Thanks, I should have thought of that. Declutch and see the huge number. 70 mph with "idle flow" should be a big number!
