A(va)nticipation

Is anything known about the next S4 (based on the new A4 design)? Edmunds says it's coming "sometime next year" (see link), but that seems too soon. Doesn't it usually take a few years for a new S version? Maybe the success of the current S4 is pushing them to get it out sooner. So the 2.7T has lots of potential life left in it. Of course as time goes on, more and more of that potential will be available through aftermarket parts for current S4s.

You're right. No need for an all-new engine, but they will have to tune it up to stay competitive.
