Shifter trim plate mod
So i read up on the DIY shifter trim plate painting. i didnt like the silver look in the car. i thought it looked out of place or over the top. i decided that i wanted it black. i took a ride to the stealership and they quoted me $162.00 for a brandy new shiny black plastic piece. i turned around and never looked back. so i got some spray paint, 600 grit wet dry sandpaper, 1000 grit wet dry, and paint thinner. i went to town on this thing sanded it all down. then sprayed it with Semi-flat black. i put a good 4 coats on and compared it to my other pieces. PERFECT. very happy with the results. took me a couple hours.

Here is my brushed-aluminum mod I did to mine. It was scratched up pretty bad. I'm not fully finished with it...
