Shipping an Audi with Dependable Auto Shippers - questions
Should I bother with the valuation coverage? Without it their limit of liability is only $250, which definitely isn't going to cover a blown shock. The coverage is valuation based and costs $179 to add to the delivery. My question is really for those out there who have used DAS: should I bother with it? I'm concerned that even if I do pay extra and something goes wrong, they'll deny the claim anyway.
I guess at least then I could contest the charges with my credit card company... Thoughts?

How far are you shipping it?
I'll need to ship two cars from San Jose to New York (give or take) in a few months. Curious how big a move your cars are making. For the cross country I'm probably adding a lot of insurance.

open or enclosed? May I ask how much shipping's costing?
I'd probably pay the extra, being paranoid, but check carefully what it covers. Also take plenty pix *after* it's on the truck.

If your insurance coverage covers the vehicle while in transit ... skip DAS's coverage
I'm having my M3 shipped with DAS (it's sitting in their friggin' PA terminal for the 11th day!) and that's how I was consulted. My insurance covers the vehicle, so I did without.
What delivery time table are they giving you for MD to San Diego? Are you doing enclosed or open? How much?
I got an ETA of 20 days (!) and it's $1,466 for an enclosed, top rack, soft strap from the sellers door to their AZ terminal ("door-to-terminal" cost).
