Default sold my s4 :-(...

Hi All,

Well, I've sold another S4. All in all I have owned/driven both an 01 avant and sedan for the past seven years. Its been a great ride. Prior to leaving this enthusiastic brotherhood I need some help and advise one last time. As of current I have a few CEL codes.

VAG-COM Version: Release 704.1

Address 01: Engine
Control Module Part Number: 8D0 907 551 M
Component and/or Version: 2.7l V6/5VT G 0002
Software Coding: 06711
Work Shop Code: WSC 02136
3 Faults Found:

16502 - Engine Coolant Temp. Sensor (G62): Signal too High
P0118 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
16805 - Warm Up Catalyst; Bank 1: Efficiency Below Threshold
P0421 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
18062 - Please check DTC Memory of Instrument Cluster
P1654 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

Readiness: 0000 0000

What I find strange is I passed my yearly Massachusetts emissions test with these problems.

I know what to do about the coolant temp. sensor code. Its the catalyst code that scares me!! I have tried clearing the code several times. It always comes back. Can someone please reccomend the cheapest legal way to fix these problems? The buyer is from California.

I did run across the following thread and was hoping it could solve my cat problem.

Apparently AoA has released a flash program for the ECM that corrects the CEL for P0421. I can only hope!!!

Thanks.

Best Regards,

Joshua

Default Change the CTS first, then clear codes.

If the warm up code persists, it may be the o2 sensor. I believe bank 1 is the passenger side.
