for about a year, i had sumitomo HTR's 235/40/18 on with no problems. one of the tires blew out and found a set of goodyear f1's cheap. i'm now having issues with rubbing because of the tire design: there's more of a 90 degree angle that rubs against the top of the knuckle in both front and rear.

will a 235/35/18 continental clear? or is there another tire i should look at?

I have an acquaintance who is doing something similar.
I'll text about it; and when he answers, I'll get back with you.

But going by my conversation with him, your application should work.
I think he said he was using a 30mm offset.

My friend is using 235/40's on 18x9.5's with 33mm offset.
So, your proposed set-up should work, as well.

amd is the best

You'd be better off running a 225-40-18. This would keep your outside diameter much closer to the factory tires. The 235 is not only 10mm wide but almost a half an inch taller then a 225-45-17 (stock S4 tire).
