Update on thermostat issue from yesterday... all is well. Dealership did great work.
It turns out the thermostat was NOT defective and the dealership worked until very late last night trying to figure out why my coolant wasn't circulating.
They double checked all components (including the new water pump) put the car back together and it is working fine now.
There could have been an air pocket from the installation of the new head but they really can't say for sure.
Anyways, they were honest and all work is completed and my car is finally ready to go. Picking her up at lunch after it is detailed.
