why not ask the people in houston who have them? so many people have the uuc, and s4 spd here in houston has the neuspeed ss as well.

You can't go wrong w/ either...short shifter should be standard on all S4's!!!
Both are great products!!!
Neuspeed is 37% reduction vs. UUC selectable 20% - 30% or 40%...I think 37/40 is a must!!!
Neuspeed is $159 from Greedspeed vs. UUC $269...
I own a Neuspeed and I love it...once you drive an S4 with a short shifter there is no going back.

UUC is 20/30/40 adjustable, Neuspeed is ~40% only... (m)
Nick,
From what I understand, the UUC is an entirely new unit that is adjustable from 20% reduction to 40% reduction, with the newer model also adjustable to 30% reduction. Many people equate 20% to what it should have been from the factory and 40% to be great for racing - closer to a Mitata's shifter - clickclick.
It costs $279 and is available from UUC (www.uucmotorwerks.com) and Stratmosphere (www.startmosphere.com). I've heard great things about this short-shifter and am very seriously considering one myself.
The Neuspeed model I've heard conflicting things about. I heard it at one point that it was just a stock part that was "bent" and ends up being shorter. That's probably not true, but from their web site, it does look like they bend the bottom section to shorten the shift. This differs from how UUC makes their product. The Neuspeed shifter is not adjustable is reduces throws by 38%. The Neuspeed model also lowers the height of the shift **** - which might be a problem if you like having the armrest in the down position.
I'm going with the UUC. It seems like more people have it, more people like it, etc. The reduction is adjustable, and it doesn't effect the height of the shift ****. It looks very well constructed as well.
Best of luck with your decision. Feel free to e-mail if you have other questions.
