Default Audi Pre-Sense turns off when you fully turn off Traction Control?

When I hold the traction control button for three to four seconds to turn the system completely off, I get an error that also tells me pre-sense has been turned off. Is pre-sense linked to the traction control system?

Given that TC/ESC should be turned off in snow anyway, it makes sense to turn off pre-sense too. I would hate to have some error trigger that function in weather like I was driving in last night.

You need to turn ESC off if you're stuck in the snow or you're climbing a steep slippery hill. I've yet to see ESC even flash in the snow in this car, but I don't know what you were driving through last night.

A good bit of the East coast got pounded with heavy, heavy snow. From Florida all the way to Boston and New England.

The reason I asked is because I was trying to figure out how to get launch control to work.

Did you figure it out? Would be cool to know a proven launch control based on other drivers. I've never touched traction control and like someone else said haven't seen it flash in snow. There was one time where it did but that's because I was purposely doing some snow slides in a parking lot 😂

Yes, your pre sense city (your forward collision warning/braking) will be disabled when you put traction control in "sport" mode or fully defeat it (by holding down the ESC button for 3 seconds).
