You can see Audi list is quite the premium for these things. The second link is to a place I've used many times and they are typically 25% or more off of list. If you find OEM cheaper online please share.

FYI, the bracket turns out to be much larger than the plate itself and they don't even have pre-drilled fittings for the plate holes. I live in TX where we also have to have a front plate. When I went to place mine on the front mount that was already installed I noticed that the holes were done crooked so I had to re-drill them correctly by hand.

Have you contacted a dealer that does a good amount of used or certified sales? I drove to MD to buy my A8. We don't have front plates and I had them take the bracket off. Dollars to doughnuts a dealer like that may have few laying around. Might be worth a couple of calls.
