K04 Upgrade Questions
I've sourced a reasonably priced K04 upgrade with all the needed fittings for the conversion for a 00 A4.
I haven't chipped my car yet, so am I better to go for an APR or GIAC chip with the K04?
Also, do you need to upgrade anything else for the K04?

generally the ko4-15 chips require a 5barFPR. It depends in the specific chip/tuner. Finding a chip which matches your ECU# is the bigee.

I just had this done
I have a 2000 A4 1.8T Quattro.
132kw AJL engine code.
I have installed a K04 and ran it with std programming for over 3 months.
Just last week I had S3 injectors and a GIAC chip installed and boy it goes well.
I still have the std exhaust and only mods I have done are Dieselgeek Short shifter, RS4 grille, Samco turbo inlet hose, Stoptech braided brake lines, APR Snub mount, K04 turbo, S3 injectors and GIAC K04 chip.
Before you go choosing your chip see what your ECU number is and check out your options. with the AJL engine you restricted with either GIAC or Dahlback.
