S4 3.0 TDI 2022 - Engine sound
Hello guys,
Recently I've bought a new Audi S4 3.0 TDI 341hp 2022. It's my first V6 engine but basically from the beginning I feel like something is wrong with the engine. In Neutral or when I stay in Drive mode it sounds like an old tractor.. also in low rpm until 2200 rpm. Maybe it's normal sound for this engine but it starts to annoy me.

Is this clacking sound from drivers side normal?

That’s called diesel clatter. It’s louder than I used to hear from my 3.0 TDI, but by no means does it indicate a problem. What I would do, however, is perform an oil change with the proper VW/Audi spec oil for this engine. Depending on where you purchased the car, it may have oil in it that is not designed for the engine.

What I would do, however, is perform an oil change with the proper VW/Audi spec oil for this engine. Depending on where you purchased the car, it may have oil in it that is not designed for the engine.
