Hey guys, I just recently purchased a used 2001 audi tt 6spd manual 1.8t and I was up early one morning so i decided to warm the car up for my drive to work... It started fine, I cranked the A.C on sat back for a minute heard the radio for a minute then turned it off... came back out 15 mins later to try and start it again for work and it would not hold an idle... It will turn over, but it will immediately shut off as soon as it turns over...

this is my first audi so I have really no clue how anything works...

please someone with a little more knowledgeable in the electronic components of these cars give me a good starting point of things to start checking?

sensors that might've gone bad? anything helps...

Sounds a bit like an engine speed sensor, but you will have to get a VAGCOM reader and download codes. Otherwise, your just guessing...
