Also, a possible mod for prospective or current 3.2 owners...
The 3.2 TT's paddle shifters are made of black plastic. The VW R32 (European version) has aluminum paddle shifters that I think will look a lot nicer on the 3.2 TT than the plastic ones.
I've been communicating with Martyn at VAG Parts and frankly, we're still not sure if the aluminum paddles will fit on the 3.2 TT or not. So I am going to be the Guinea Pig.
A set of aluminum paddles is on its way from the UK and I'll try to see if they'll fit once they (and the car) arrive.

From what I saw when I checked the car out the other day
they will not fit. I could be wrong though and I will get around to posting those pics. I moved into a new house and my digicam cables are in a box somewhere...I'll try to dig them out tonight.

Who ya gonna get to remove the stering wheel? just hope the Torx Screws in the back are not in...
real hard.
My tech. had to check/replace the steering wheel sensor, and to do it, obviously, they needed to remove the front part of the wheel.
They could not get the screws out from the back, and had to drill them out.
Made quite a mess.

The paddles behind the steering wheel for shifting.
The TT has plastic pieces while the R32 has really nice looking brushed aluminum. It seems like the brushed aluminum look would be a good fit for the TT interior.
I did a quick search for pics but couldn't find any. Maybe someone else has some?

uhmmm once you get the airbag off you should only have to
remove that huge torx bolt there in the center of the wheel... once you remove that the wheel slides right off.
Thats how it is in VW cars.... I can't imagine the TT being any different since its literally the same steering wheel and column

Right, but that's not the problem I was referring to, it's getting that front cover off...
you need to get at the screws from behind, and in my case, they were in so tight, they had to drill them out, and they mucked up the entire wheel.
