Default Ok I looked at mine...

instead of the holes where you would stick the scredriver through to release the airbag clips, there are screws... one on each side.

Still, to my this seems it would be MUCH easier than trying to pry the airbag out with a screwdriver like the previous (vw) design! I don't understand how your tech had so much trouble? Unless they are really soft metal screws and the heads like to strip at the slightest pressure?

oh and oddly enough.. mine arnt torx? they are phillips???

only way to get the front cover/air bag out is the 2 screws from the back
