Default DV fluttering?

I've got the Forge 007P piston DV. Yesterday I began noticing when lifting off the accelerator, instead of hearing the normal "whooosh" sound of the air recirculating, I was hearing a staccato-like stuttering sound. I'm guessing that's DV flutter.

I hadn't serviced the DV since I put it in back in Jan., so I figured that would take care of it. I bought some synthetic grease, took the valve out, took it apart, and cleaned every part including the o-rings. I lubed it with the new grease and put it back in. It seemed to go completely away for a while, but now it's only doing it every now and again. I've checked the vacuum hose on top and it's good with no cracks. I'm still holding good boost as well.

I took out the washers I used to shim the spring also. The DV only came with one spring, the green one. Any other ideas? Like I said, after cleaning, it went from every time to only occasionally now, but it's annoying that it's happening at all.

Default Ok, so I did a search and.....

it sounds like sometimes flutter is just normal with some DV's? What I don't get is why it would just all of a sudden start if it didn't do it from the onset?

Default New exhaust...Different flow...>

Some just do with certain combinations Paul....

My Optimus does and I can't get it not to...No matter what spring rate or orientation I try. Performance is great, but the flutter remains..

Default FWIW... my Forge 007P has never fluttered at any stage of my modding except..

when I had a crack in the top (little) hose that goes to the DV... it eventually totally split and came de-tached and caused my car to super flutter (kinda 3D flutter).. it was kinda cool actually. haha
