How come the 5spoke TT wheel is only 23lbs, but when you put a tire on it its 46lbs? Weird!

How come the 5spoke TT wheel is only 23lbs, but when you put a tire on it its 46lbs? Weird!

how can the tire be the same weight as the wheel though? isnt that odd?

eh. you're missing my point, I just find it weird that it can weight THAT MUCH.

Tires can easily make up half of the weight at each corner. Esp. as the sidewall gets stiffer.
