I got smoked by an M3 today...
Off hand, anyone know specs on this car? Hp, 0-60, etc.? I didn't think he wanted to go, so I didn't get a good start, but he really took off at the light change. I have a 225 with APR, and couldn't catch up.

Im not sure if you saw my response below about the ti exhaust
but im going to see if rob would be interested in doing it.. I wanna find out more about how this stuff ages and how it works with the environment (salt..)... If he says no, I might look into having a shop do a custom exhaust if this uuc doesn't come out any time soon...

John . . . why? What will Ti accomplish? minor weight savings?
As you have said the VMTT is about 23#'s . . . what would a TiVMTT weigh? 17? if even that light? What would 3" Ti pipe and 60mm Ti pipe cost, not even talking about whether Ti and SS can be welded together or not! The resonators are all SS, highly doubtful they come in Ti.
Even if it would all be done . . . save the $$ on apply it to something that actually makes sense either from a weight savings or performance enhancing point of view.

Yeah, I know, I have a 225C and get challenged all the time. I am waitin for the time when I tell the guy to meet me at a designated location in a half hour to run for a couple hundred bucks.
Yeah, It'll be fun.... I'll bring my v10 VIPER! And it ain't stock. Oh, yeah, the TT is my Winter car.... But what a Winter ride!

Just something I would like to look into.. Not definite..
True, the cost might exceed the outcome but before I jump to any conclusions Id like to check it out.. If its going to save me 5 lbs and cost me $500 more there is no way id do it, that $500 could buy a seat which would save me almost 40lbs... With all the things I have in mind, the car will end up being about 2900.5lbs.. Which is exactly the number I was aiming for.. If I can find more weight to get rid of, thatd be awesome.. And no Im not gutting the interior, just replacing a few heavy parts with CF ones..

Areas to look at would be
Exhaust..you know that ;-)
Battery..has to be a smaller lighter one available
Brakes..less unsprung weight..better stopping performance
Lead weight removal from rear 50-60 lbs there
Lightweight trailing arms at the rear
Composite drive shaft Cha ching!
Lighter flywheel
CF bucket seats
Lighter rims and tires
lose the engine covers
of course the spare and asst tools and jack
Rear seats
And to go all the way strp out the sound proofing and stereo..Ihear theres over 60lbs there alone
